Rare lens-shaped lenticular clouds have been observed in the skies over many parts of West Yorkshire, including over Holmfirth.

Sheep graze at the end of an intense rainbow in the Lake District. Photographer Jason Connolly took the photo as he walked up Latterbarrow hill. The bright sunshine cut through the heavy rain to produce an arc of vivid colours over the Cumbrian countryside. Sheep grazed beneath it, oblivious to the lightshow above.
